‘Fluoride Free’ Cornwall Will Improve Community Health

 I was pleased to see that Paul Brisebois and his supporters made a presentation to City Hall regarding the perils and risks of fluoridated water.

The information about fluoride is getting out there. One only has to Google the Internet and you will find many, many valid reasons for avoiding fluoride in water, beverages and toothpaste.

Basically, fluoride is a slow killer, and causes a deterioration of health over the long term, and does nothing to improve the health of one’s teeth. Fluoride, a bye product of the fertilizer and aluminum industries, has made a lot of wealthy families very rich, including the powerful Mellon family in the U.S. Why dispose of an industrial waste product when you can sell it to municipalities and toothpaste companies and make a bundle.

The Risks of Dental Amalgam Fillings- My Personal Story- Part 2

In my previous article- Part 1- on amalgam fillings, I focused on my recent decision to get all 12 of my amalgam fillings removed starting last September, 2011, and finishing in April, 2012. Any amount of amalgam(mercury) in the body is toxic and needs to be removed as soon as possible.

In this follow-up article I will be presenting more personal information regarding my health, going back as many as 50 years. I obtained my medical file when previous family doctors retired(90’s and 00’s), and since that time, I photocopy all medical documents for my own file.

I keep this duplicate file so that when my present family doctor retires, I will not have to pay an exorbitant fee for photocopies. Also, since I use the services of alternative medicine practitioners, I always have my own medical information at my disposal.

Four years ago, my wife decided to get her amalgam fillings removed while we were on holidays in Costa Rica. The amalgam fillings had turned grey and black, so she had them changed for white fillings.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but her initiative became for me, the beginning of  a new awareness regarding the dangers of amalgam fillings, the challenge of removing these fillings and reclaiming my own health.

  I have had a mouth full of silver amalgam fillings for over 40 years. I went for a consultation with Dr. France Chevalier, an Ottawa dentist, in September, 2011 and I had the shock of my life.

 

I had decided to get my amalgam fillings removed because they contain about 50% mercury, one of the most dangerous and obnoxious elements on the planet, and my dentist in Cornwall, Ontario refused to remove them. He told me amalgam fillings were perfectly safe, that the mercury was inert in my mouth and there was no good reason to remove them.

Ontario Government Taxes Fitness but Gives Fast Food an Exemption!

In a previous article I pointed out that the Ontario government made a big mistake when it recently gave an exemption to the fast food industry concerning the new HST legislation that will add 8% to most products.

  Essentially, the Ontario government is promoting the consumption of fast food that is known to be of low nutritional value and the underlying cause of sickness and disease. The government is showing a a complete disregard for the health of Ontarians with this legislation.  If you have a public administration degree you'd know that this can mean big problems for the government.

 However, the government could redeem itself if it could point to any example in the HST legislation that showed a genuine concern for the health of its citizens. In other words, was the government willing to take a stand, and exempt any products or services that would make for a healthier lifestyle?

 Unfortunately, the answer to that question is a definitive, “No.”
