In my previous video post on this website I spoke about how I started to use chanting to self heal during my recent health crisis. I started chanting in October, 2012 and it has become a regular part of my daily routine. It is something I do for myself while helping family and friends but it has a greater reach than that. It helps to connect me with other people around the world who are chanting for love, peace and harmony. Together, we can increase the vibration of our planet.
First, I want to explain how I use chanting for personal healing. Master Sha teaches in many of his books, that we can use sound to stimulate our physical body which in turn increases our 'vibration' which promotes healing. The term 'vibration' is more commonly used today and people have a general idea what it means. When you meet someone who looks healthy, has a great smile and is energetic- you are drawn to such persons because they are literally 'sending energy' to whomever is around them.
The higher the vibration, the healthier we become and the more potential we have to self heal and heal others. The wisdom passed on from Master Sha is that chanting certain numbers correspond to different parts of the body. Chanting the same numbers repeatedly stimulates these areas of the body and promotes healing.
The sacred numbers are 3-3-9-6-8-1-5. Here are the areas of the body they stimulate. 3 (Chest) 9 (Lower Abdomen) 6 (Ribs) 8 (Navel) 1 (Head) 5 (Stomach). Simply by chanting 3396815 repeatedly you will stimulate the above organs in your body and you will feel relaxed. Try it. Close your eyes for a few minutes and chant 3396815. Do you feel a sense of calm afterwards?
We can translate the numbers to Chinese words and an even higher vibration will take place. Here are the Chinese words for the numbers and the pronunciation guide. 3 San "Sahn" 3 San "Sahn" 9 Jiu "Jeo" 6 Liu "Leo" 8 Ba "Bah" 1 Yao "Yow" 5 Wu "Woo" . So, now you will be actually practicing using the Chinese(Mandarin) words for the body organs that are mentioned.
Memorize this mantra and you can try it out for a few minutes each day. Feeling sluggish in the morning, chant san san jiu liu ba yao wu. Feel like you could use an energy boost after work, chant san san jiu liu ba yao wu. Try it several times and see if it helps you. This is a first step at understanding the power of vibration and the power of using a divine mantra for self healing.
